RICARDO
SEVILLA JR.

BEHIND THE LENS

Ricardo Sevilla Jr.’s work investigates social relations in the modern world, like sexuality and vulnerability and evaluates its many aspects. He wants to explore how people work; How they interact with others and how they interact with the environment around them. His work is not just a critique, but an investigation.
Ricardoexperiments with the limitless boundaries of art making by drawing inspiration from his own experiences as a Latinx Artist, whose identity flows with the style he chooses. He has produced a number of artist books, authoring books for Dudeoir and Poly. His work has received 'Honorable Mention' in the Photographer's Forum: Best of College and High School Photography 2017. Ricardo has also taken part in the Third Space Exhibit Assuming the Pose, curated by Keliy Anderson-Staley in March 2020.
